Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Pawli mobile application. By downloading or using Pawli, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Pawli ("we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the Pawli mobile application ("App") available on the Apple App Store.
By downloading, installing, or using Pawli, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to use Pawli. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 13 years of age or older. Users between the ages of 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of Pawli after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Pawli grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial cat care management purposes.
You own your data. You retain full ownership of all cat profiles, health records, meal logs, and other content you create within the App. Pawli does not claim any ownership rights over your cat data.
This license does not include the right to: sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or commercially exploit the App or its content; modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; use the App to build a competing product or service; or use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the App.
This license is subject to and conditioned on your continued compliance with these Terms. Any violation of these Terms immediately and automatically terminates this license.
Subscription Terms
Pawli offers premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions managed through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply to all Pawli subscriptions and are required by Apple.
Payment & Billing
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription prices are displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.
Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price as the initial purchase.
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Pawli → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to premium features continues until the end of the paid period.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support directly.
Free Trials
If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your Apple ID will be charged. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon purchase of a subscription.
Subscription Management
You can manage all your subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Pawli does not have the ability to process refunds or modify subscriptions — these are entirely managed through Apple.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- Maintain the security of your Apple ID or Google account used to sign in to Pawli
- Notify us immediately at support@pawlicare.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Not share your account credentials with any third party
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms
Pawli reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect unauthorized access, breach of these Terms, or any fraudulent activity. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Pawli only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive the source code or underlying ideas of the App
- Sharing, selling, transferring, or sublicensing your account credentials to any other person
- Using the App to transmit any harmful, unlawful, harassing, or objectionable content
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems, servers, or networks
- Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or interact with the App
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the App or its related infrastructure
- Impersonating another person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
- Using the App for any commercial purpose without our express written permission
Violation of these acceptable use guidelines may result in immediate termination of your account and access to the App, and may be subject to civil or criminal penalties under applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The App and all of its original content, features, functionality, design, and code are and will remain the exclusive property of Pawli and its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to, the Pawli name, logo, brand identity, visual design, user interface, and all software code underlying the App.
Pawli's trademarks, service marks, and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Pawli. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in any Pawli intellectual property.
Your Content: You retain full ownership and all rights to the cat data, photos, health records, and other content you create and store within the App. You grant Pawli only the limited rights necessary to operate and provide the App's features (e.g., storing your data in Firestore for syncing). Pawli does not claim any ownership of your personal or pet data.

Veterinary Disclaimer
This section is critically important. Please read it carefully before relying on any health-related information provided by Pawli.
Pawli is designed for informational and organizational purposes only. The App helps you track, log, and organize your cat's care information — it does not provide, and is not intended to provide, professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- The information provided by Pawli, including AI-generated food safety analysis, health tracking features, and any content within the App, is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional veterinary advice.
- AI-powered food ingredient analysis may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. The Anthropic Claude AI used for food safety analysis is not a certified veterinary nutritionist and its assessments should not be treated as definitive medical or dietary guidance.
- Health records, symptom tracking, and medical document storage within Pawli are organizational tools only. They do not constitute veterinary diagnoses or treatment plans.
- Reminder features are organizational aids only and do not constitute veterinary scheduling advice.
Always consult a licensed and qualified veterinarian for any questions or concerns you may have regarding your cat's health, diet, medications, vaccinations, or medical conditions. Do not delay seeking professional veterinary care, or disregard professional veterinary advice, because of information you have read or received through the Pawli App.
In the event of a veterinary emergency, contact your local emergency veterinary clinic immediately. Pawli is not an emergency response service.
By using Pawli, you acknowledge and agree that Pawli and its developer shall not be liable for any health outcomes, injuries, illness, death, or other harm to your cat resulting from your reliance on information provided by the App, including AI-generated content. All health decisions affecting your cat should be made in consultation with a licensed veterinary professional.
Limitation of Liability
AS IS Disclaimer: The Pawli App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pawli, its developer, officers, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your data
- Health outcomes, injury, illness, or death of your cat based on information provided by or accessed through the App
- Failures, errors, interruptions, or unavailability of third-party services (including Firebase, PostHog, RevenueCat, or the Anthropic Claude API)
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated food safety analysis
- Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to maintain account security
- Any other damages arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
Pawli integrates with several third-party services to provide its features. By using Pawli, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your use of third-party services within Pawli is subject to those services' own terms of service and privacy policies
- We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service
- Third-party services may change, discontinue, or modify their services or terms at any time
- We have no control over third-party services and are not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use such services
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement created by these Terms at any time.
Termination by you: You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account within the App and uninstalling Pawli. Upon account deletion, all your cloud data will be permanently removed from our Firestore database. If you have an active subscription, it will continue until the end of the paid billing period. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the Apple App Store as described in Section 3.
Termination by Pawli: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe: (a) violates these Terms; (b) is harmful to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the App; (c) constitutes fraud or abuse; or (d) is required by law or legal process.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to: Intellectual Property, Veterinary Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law.
Data upon termination: If you delete your account, all cloud-synced data is immediately and permanently deleted. Local data on your device is cleared upon uninstall. We recommend exporting your data (Settings → Export Data) before deleting your account if you wish to retain a copy.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Morocco. If you are accessing Pawli from a jurisdiction that does not allow the application of Moroccan law, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Pawli reserves the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of our intellectual property rights.
We encourage you to contact us first at support@pawlicare.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before initiating formal legal proceedings. We are committed to working with our users in good faith to resolve concerns.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from these Terms if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pawli concerning the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and agreements.
